June 1, 2000 Nacogdoches, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin State University athletic department, in conjunction with Student Advantage's FANSonly Network, is expanding efforts to provide fans with complete coverage of Lumberjack and Ladyjack athletics through the launch of a comprehensive official athletic website located at www.SFAJacks.com. The site, which became live at noon today, is the only official source of information, merchandise, multimedia and more for the SFA athletic department. SFA's official athletic website will provide Lumberjack fans with complete information on all Stephen F. Austin sports. Also included are photos, audio and video clips, event coverage, rosters, schedules and interactive promotions and games. Throughout the year, the site will also offer opportunities to interact online with SFA players and coaches. Fans will also be able to purchase officially licensed merchandise through the site's FANStore with proceeds from each sale benefiting the athletic department. A variety of other enhancements are expected to be added to the site throughout the year. "We are extremely excited about taking this step to link our athletic department with other major athletic departments around the country through the Fansonly Network umbrella," said SFA Director of Athletics Steve McCarty. "This opens up numerous other opportunities for us to do some things we were unable to do over the Internet with an educational domain address." "We are excited to have Stephen F. Through www.SFAJacks.com, computer users will be able to access virtually anything they would want to know regarding SFA athletics. Live game coverage, player and coach biographies, statistics and special coach and student-athlete profiles will be a on the site on a regular basis. The site will also include a feature for fans to register for updates to be delivered to the registrant's email account on a weekly basis as well as offer an opportunity to receive a free email account with the sfajacks.com domain. The site is part of the more than 70-school FANSonly Network, which will help distribute SFA news and information through its hub site located at www.fansonly.com. The FANSonly Network was one of nine sports sites on the web to record over a million unique visitors in the month of March and regularly measured as a top-10 sports site by Media Metrix.
