Ryder Peacock is in his second season with the SFA track and field coaching staff after a standout career as a Lumberjack high jumper at SFA. After working with the SFA high jumpers last season, Peacock will take on the added responsibility of working with the long and triple jumpers. During the 2008 season, Peacock produced four conference finalists in the men's and women's high jump, including seniors Audrey Azu and Justin Reyes who earned All-Southland Conference honors. Azu finished third at the conference indoor meet by clearing a height of 5-8.00, while Reyes was the conference runner-up with a mark of 6-9.00. Peacock's troops added to that tally during the outdoor season producing three more conference finalist and an NCAA Regional qualifying mark. Reyes cleared a height of 6-10.75 at the conference championships to advanced to the regional championships. A three-time All-Southland Conference selection, Peacock won the 2006 SLC Outdoor high jump title, clearing a height of 6-8.75. He followed that up by becoming one of the top high jumpers in the region. Peacock closed out his career by qualifying for and competing at the NCAA Regional Championships.
