Ross Sets School Record at Arkansas Last Chance

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field teams traveled four athletes to Fayetteville, Ark., Friday for the Arkansas Last Chance meet. Senior Zach Ross closed out his final indoor season by setting a school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.94. Ross' time was the second fastest of the meet, and just missed an NCAA qualifying mark by only three-hundredths of a second. Senior Katrina Roundtree also just missed an NCAA provisional mark in the women's 400 meters. Roundtree posted a time of 55.31 to finish sixth overall. Her time was only .61 seconds off the qualifying time. Sophomore Silent-Joye Egboba-Waye recorded a jump of 18-10.00 to finish third in the women's long jump. Senior Sumbo Adeniran recorded a mark of 22-10.00 in the men's long jump to finish eighth overall. -SFA- |
