Harlan Records NCAA Qualifying Mark at SHSU

March 8, 2008

HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The York Relays in Huntsville, Texas were cancelled Friday due to inclement weather, but since the multi events began 24 hours earlier meet officials elected to finish the decathlon. Sophomore Aaron Harlan took advantage of the opportunity recorded an NCAA provisional mark of 7,141 points in the event.

In similar fashion to how he started the indoor season, Harlan posted another NCAA qualifying mark meet of the year. Despite temperatures in the 40's, Harlan was able to post a time of 14.58 in the 100 hurdles to start the final day of competition.

SFA returns to action Saturday, March 15, when they travel to Natchitoches, La., to compete in the NSU Invitational. The meet will be hosted by Northwestern State.
