    Ana Rodriguez Sets SLC Record at Mt. SAC
    Marc Farris posts league's best 10,000-meter time of the year

    WALNUT, Calif. - The Stephen F. Austin track and field team sent four runners to the Mt. SAC Relays over the weekend and they returned with some of the best results in Southland Conference this year. Senior Ana Rodriguez and junior Marc Farris competed in the 10,000-meter run, while sophomore Ashley Monteau competed in the 5,000 meters.

    Rodriguez recorded an SFA and Southland Conference record when she crossed the finish line with time of 34:35.38 to finish 23rd overall. Her time was also good enough for an NCAA provisional mark. Farris recorded the league's second fastest time of the season in the men's 10,000-meter run when he crossed the finish line 40th overall with a time of 30:25.77. Monteau finished third in the 5,000 meters as she crossed the finish line with her time of 17:12.13.

    The SFA track and field team returns to action Saturday when they travel to Fort Worth, Texas to compete in the TCU Invitational.
