    HOUSTON, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men and women's track and field team continued the indoor season Saturday at the Houston Indoor Open meet. The Ladyjacks finished sixth overall with 40 points, while the Lumberjacks finished 11th.

    Shametra Boykins led the Ladyjacks assault on the triple jump with her mark of 39-2.25 to finish second. Jessica Claiborne finished third with her jump of 39-0.25. Bratania Morris finished fourth with her jump of 38-3.50. Claiborne also set a new school record when she recorded a fourth-place finish in the long jump with her mark of 19-4.00. Jocelyn Stevens recorded a top-five finish in the high jump, when she cleared a height of 5-3.75. Jennifer Schreiner recorded a third-place finish when she cleared a height of 10-11.75 in the pole vault. Blake Gordon capped off a solid performance for the Ladyjacks with her mark of 45-4.25 to finish third in the shot put.

    DeVaughn Rettig had another solid outing for SFA in the long jump. Rettig recorded a mark of 22-3.00 to finish second in the long jump section 'B'.

    The SFA track and field teams will continue the indoor season Saturday Feb. 1st at the LSU Purple Tiger meet in Baton Rouge, La.
