    BATON ROUGE, La. - The Stephen F. Austin men and women's track and field team competed in the Bayou Bengal Invitational Saturday. Freshman Kasie Query led the Ladyjacks' charge winning the pole vault with a height of 11-7.75. Query was joined in the top five by teammate Jennifer Schreiner who recorded a mark of 10-2.00 to finish fifth overall.

    Senior Tan Morris recorded a fifth-place finish with her time of 25.71 in the 200-meter dash. Freshman Stevina Wyatt continued the Ladyjacks strong showing in the sprints with her time of 59.48 in the 400-meter dash. Wyatt's time was good enough to finish fourth overall. Sophomore Shametra Boykins recorded a fourth-place finish in the triple jump with her mark of 39-10.75.

    SFA recorded two top-five finishes in the relays as well. The Lumberjacks finished third in the distance medley relay with a time of 10:16.28. The Ladyjacks finished second in the 4X400-meter relay (3:59.23).

    The SFA men and women's track and field team returns to action Saturday at the Runsport All-Comers meet in Houston, Texas.
