    PLANO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin athletes were recognized for their success in the classroom as 51 Lumberjack and Ladyjack student-athletes were named to the Hibernia Bank/Southland Conference Commissioner's 2004 Fall Academic Honor Roll announced league officials Tuesday afternoon.

    The honor roll recognizes student-athletes who competed in championship sports during the fall semester and maintained at least a 3.0 grade-point average while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

    SFA was led by the SLC Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Year Rodney Joseph and volleyball's Lauren Stevens who was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team. The Ladyjacks placed 26 athletes on the team while, the `Jacks had 25 athletes named to the honor roll.
