    PLANO, Texas - Junior Jocelyn Stevens was named Southland Conference Female Track and Field Athlete of the Week announced SLC officials Tuesday afternoon. It is the first honor Stevens and the Ladyjacks this season.

    Stevens won both the 100-meter hurdles and the high jump at the York Invitational in Huntsville, last Friday. She recorded an NCAA Regional qualifying mark of 5-8.00 in the high jump. Stevens posted a time of 14.60 to win the 100-meter hurdles.

    SFA returns to action Thursday at the Texas A&M Multis/Relays meet in College Station.
