Ladyjacks Have Strong Outing at Lamar

BEAUMONT, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin women's track and field team had five athletes record NCAA Regional qualifying marks at the Ty Terrell Relays this past weekend at Lamar.
Sophomore Jocelyn Stevens qualified for the NCAA Regional meet with her time of 1:01.30 in the 400-meter hurdles. Sophomore Shametra Boykins (40-7.75) and senior Jessica Claiborne (40-2.00) both qualified for the regional in the triple jump. Senior Destine Rawls met the NCAA Regional qualifying standard in the shot put with her toss of 47-3.00. Freshman Kasie Query qualified for the NCAA Regional meet in the pole vault (12-0.00).
The SFA track and field team returns to action Tuesday at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. The meet is a five-day event that will run through Saturday.
