PLANO, Texas - For the second consecutive week a Lumberjack athlete has been named Southland Conferenece Athlete of the Week. Senior pole vaulter Adam Keul (Tyler, Texas) earned the honor for his performance at the Texas Relays.

Keul cleared a height of 18-2.50, which placed him in a tie for first place with Texas pole vaulter Brian Hunter. Keul finished with a second place finish after the jump off. Keul's mark places him atop the Southland Conference standings as well as the top spot in the country.

The honor is the second consecutive for the Lumberjack track and field team. Sophomore Nathan Flores (Kingwood, Texas) was named SLC Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, April 2, Rice Invitational.

The SFA track and field teams return to action Saturday when they travel to College Station, Texas, for the Texas A&M Invitational.
