PLANO, Texas - Sophomore Nathan Flores (Kingwood, Texas) was named Southland Conference athlete of the week announced the league office Thursday for his performance at the Mt. SAC Relays.

Flores posted a time of 29:27.29 in the 10,000 meters to set an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Flores' time also set a new school and conference record. It is the third time this year that Flores has received the honor and the fourth time that a Lumberjack has received the honor.

The SFA track and field teams return to action Saturday in the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
