NACOGDOCHES - Senior Adam Keul (Tyler, Texas) was named 2002 Verizon Academic All-District first-team announced the College Sports Information Directors of America Saturday. The honor comes just two days after Ladyjack pole vaulter Misty Ballard-Swan (Carlsbad, N.M.) received the same honor.

Keul is the 2002 Southland Conference Indoor co-champion and the SLC Outdoor individual champion in the pole vault. Keul currently ranks second in the nation with his vault of 18-2.50 that he set at the Texas Relays.

Keul will be competing at the NCAA Outdoor Championships Wednesday May 29 through Sunday June 2.
