    DES MOINES, Iowa - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field team travels to Des Moines, Iowa Friday to open competition in the NCAA Regional Championships. The Midwest Regional Championships will take place at Jim Duncan Track at Drake Stadium, and will be hosted by Drake University. The event will run through Saturday.

    The meet will begin at 1 p.m. with the women's javelin throw, and the men's long jump. The track events will get under way at 2 p.m. with the prelims of the men's and women's 4 X 100-meter relay. Saturday's events will also begin at 1 p.m. with the men's javelin throw and the men's triple jump. Saturday's track and field events are slated to get started at 3 p.m. with the finals of the men's and women's 4 X 100-meter relay.
