BATON ROUGE, La. - Senior pole vaulter Misty Ballard-Swan (Carlsbad, N.M.) concluded a brilliant SFA career Wednesday night competing at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Baton Rouge, La. Ballard-Swan cleared a height of 12-9.50 to finish tied for ninth but after the tie-break Ballard-Swan was 14th overall.

Ballard-Swan finishes off a senior season that saw her record All-Southland Conference honors during the indoor and outdoor seasons, the 2002 SLC Outdoor pole vault individual championship and 2002 Verizon Academic All-District first-team honors.

Senior pole vaulter Adam Keul (Tyler, Texas) looks for his fourth All-American honor in the pole vault Friday. The event is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.
