    Ladyjacks Will Send Three Athletes to NCAAs

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack track and field team had three athletes qualify for the NCAA Championships Saturday from the NCAA regional meet. Junior Blake Gordon qualified in the discus throw. Sophomore Shametra Boykins qualified in the triple jump, while classmate Ana Rodriguez advanced in the 5,000 meters.

    Gordon earned an automatic berth in the NCAA Championships with her fourth-place finish in the discus. She recorded a throw of 167-10. Gordon is currently ranked 25th in the nation.

    Boykins recorded a mark of 42-6.75 in the triple jump to earn a trip to the championship meet. Boykins is currently ranked 22nd in the nation.

    Rodriguez finished eighth at the NCAA regional meet with a time of 17:57.49. Her time currently places her 28th in the country.

    The NCAA Championships will begin Wednesday June 11th, in Sacramento, Calif.
