FRISCO, Texas - Sophomore Aaron Harlan has been named Southland Conference Male Athlete of the week announced league officials Tuesday afternoon. It marks the first weekly honor of Harlan's career.

Harlan traveled to Lynchburg, Va., over the weekend to compete in the heptathlon at the Liberty Kickoff Classic. Harlan jumped to the front of a very talented field winning the event with a score of 5,246 points. Harlan's score was only 54 points shy of an NCAA qualifying score.

SFA will return to action following the Christmas Holiday when they travel to Houston, Texas, Friday, Jan. 18 to compete in the Leonard Hilton Invitational. The meet will take place on the University of Houston campus.
