    Smith Takes Southland Crown

    Junior claimed SFA's sixth all-time SLC individual title in record fashion on Monday at Piney Woods CC.

    2011: - Finished 82nd overall at the NCAA South Central Regional meet at Cottonwood Creek Golf Club in Waco (23:17.7) ... finished 63rd at the Southland Conference championships (24:10.1) ... came in 84th at the Alabama Crimson Classic (19:32.64) ... crossed in 24:28.43 to finish 20th at the SLC Pre-conference meet.

    - Finished 28th (18:56) at the Florida State Invitational.

    High School: A distance triple-crown winner in Louisiana at the Class 5A level ... won the cross country, 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters as a senior ... medaled in all three events as a junior.
