ROBSTOWN, Texas - - Lance Luetge kept the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders hitless through 8.2 innings as he walked one and gave up two two-out singles in the bottom of the ninth to lead the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks to an 8-0 win Sunday afternoon. Luetge also struck out a career-high 11 batters in SFA's 20th win of the season. In his next at-bat, Hill hit his first grand slam over the left field wall to give the Lumberjacks a 7-0 lead. Jared Pitts followed with a double down the left field line and scored on an error by the Islanders' third baseman, giving SFA an 8-0 advantage.
Hill's home runs were his 14th and 15th of the year, setting a career high for the senior first base man, who is also leading the SLC in homeruns.
At the plate, Hill was 2-for-5 with six RBI and two runs scored. Chris Smith, who was solid defensively for SFA, was 3-for-4 with an RBI.
