    Former Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack baseball letterwinner, Mike Pirtle, will be inducted into the East Texas Hall of Legends on Tuesday Jan. 22, 2005. Pirtle spent time in Nacogdoches as both a Lumberjack player and coach.

    "This is a great honor for Mike who has given so much to the game of baseball," said SFA head baseball coach Donnie Watson. "He was a huge part of this program as both a player and a coach and he has continued his success as a head coach."

    Pirtle currently serves as the head baseball coach at Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas.
