SFA is 18-30 all-time vs UT Arlington. - Sophomore Hunter Dozier is the first Lumberjack in recorded history to have hit three home runs in his first four games of the season, getting his third when he hit his second career grand slam on Wednesday vs Grambling. Dozier is hitting .533 with seven RBI and eight hits through four games, having hit safely in each contest. - Senior catcher Jarid Scarafiotti moved into a tie for seventh all-time at SFA on Wednesday when he hit his 18th career home run. He also ranks fifth all-time in hits (157) and games played (128), and third in RBI (104). - SFA placed three players on the preseason all-conference team, led by catcher Jarid Scarafiotti. Shortstop Hunter Dozier and first baseman Bobby Loveless also were named to the preseason all-SLC second team. - Head coach Johnny Cardenas needs just five wins to reach 100 for his career. He has already amassed a 95-78 record in his first three seasons, making him the winningest coach in SFA recorded history and the only coach with a record above the .500 mark. -SFA- |
