The Lumberjacks could not hang on to a 32-27 halftime lead and lost to Northwestern State Saturday afternoon at the Coliseum before 1,786 fans. With the loss, SFA moves to 6-8 overall and 3-5 in SLC play.

Ransom White and Skip Jackson led the Lumberjacks with 12 points each. Ron Banks added 9 and Emanuel Jackson added eight for the Lumberjacks. Emanuel Jackson and Ransom White also tied for the team lead in rebounds with eight.

The Lumberjacks shot 47.8% from the field, but connected on only four of 13 three pointers, (.308) for the game. Northwestern State shot an even 49% from the floor and 47.1% (8-17) on three pointers for the game.

SFA outrebounded the Demons 37-21, but 16 turnovers hurt the 'Jacks effort.

The Lumberjacks return to action next Saturday in Lake Charles as they take on league favorite McNeese State at 7:30 p.m.
