    SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Jasen Gast scored 20 points, hitting 6-of-8 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free throw line, as Stephen F. Austin defeated Texas-San Antonio 77-66 Wednesday night.

    Gast also had six steals as the Lumberjacks (12-3, 8-0 Southland) stayed unbeaten in conference play.

    Sammie Cole led UTSA (5-9, 2-5) with 21 points and eight rebounds.

    Stephen F. Austin led by only 31-30 at the half.

    The Lumberjacks turned 21 turnovers into 25 points, while Texas-San Antonio was able to turn Stephen F. Austin's eight turnovers into only 10 points.

    The Lumberjacks outscored Texas-San Antonio in the paint, 30-20.

    Percy Green backed Gast with 16 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
