Skip Jackson, a sophomore from Beaumont, led the way for the Lumberjacks Saturday afternoon as SFA defeated the Lamar Cardinals 56-44 before 1,314 in the William R. Johnson Coliseum. Jackson led all scorers in the game with 19 points.

C Emanuel Jackson led the Lumberjacks on the boards with 10 rebounds, he also added nine points. SAF outrebounded Lamar 31-26 for the game.

F Ron Banks added 12 points for the 'Jacks and F edwin Tatum also added 10 points off the bench. SFA shot 43.8% from the field while holding Lamar to only 41% from the floor and only 30% in the second half.

SFA returns ot action Monday night as they travel to Huntsville to take on Sam Houston at 7:45 p.m.
