THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Skip Jackson scored 15 points as Stephen F. Austin cruised to a 62-51 victory over Nicholls State on Saturday.

Stephen F. Austin (8-11, 5-8 Southland Conference) jumped to a 4-0 lead and led by as many as 13 points in the second half.

Nicholls (9-10, 7-5) trailed 33-28 at halftime and never got closer than seven points in the second half, cutting the Lumberjacks lead to 52-45 with 3:23 left in the game.

SFA shot 55 percent, while Nicholls hit less than 35 percent from the field.

Ranson White and Emanuel Jackson each had 10 points for SFA.

Chris Bacon led Nicholls with 22 points and nine rebounds. Sean Hughley scored a career-high 15 points for the Colonels.

The Colonels outrebounded the Lumberjacks 33-29.
