Skip Jackson ignited the Lumberjack offense in the first half with 17 of his game high 22 points as the 'Jacks moved to 10-10 on the season and 7-6 in Southland Conference play with a 95-87 win over UT-Arlington, Thursday night.

Jackson was 7-12 from the field in scoring his 17 first half points, three of which came at the buzzer on a long three pointer to give the 'Jacks a 43-37 lead at the half. Jackson finished the night with 22 points on 7-16 shooting, including 3-6 on threee pointers.

Percy Green turned in his fourth double-double of the year with 15-points and 11-rebounds. The Oklahoma City junior had only two points and two rebounds at halftime, but took over in the second half of play to help lead the Lumberjacks to the win.

Three other Lumberjacks finished the game in double figures with Ben Hunt scoring 12-points, and Ransom White and Stevin Ozier scoring 11 each. White also added eight rebounds for SFA and led the team with seven assists.

UT-Arlington did make one run at the Lumberjacks midway through the second half of play to cut the SFA lead to five at 64-59, but a Percy Green lay-up extended the lead back to seven. The 'Jacks eventually stretched their lead to as many as 16-points with 1:57 to play before UT-Arlington started fouling the Lumberjacks. SFA was 10-18 on free throw attempts in the final two minutes of play.

The 'Jacks shot an even 50% from the field, connecting on 30-60 shots while UTA was 28-60 from the field for a .467 shooting percentage. The 'Jacks also outrebounded the Mavericks by a 40-36 count. SFA also shot a season high 43 free throws in the game, connecting on 28, for a .651 percentage.

SFA closes out the current four game homestand Saturday afternoon with a single game against McNeese State at 4:00 p.m. in the Coliseum.
