HOUSTON (AP) - Mike Wilks scored a game-high 24 points, leading Rice to an 82-57 win over Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday night.

Wilks scored 16 points in the first half for the Owls (4-0).

Ron Banks scored 17 for the Lumberjacks (2-2), and Skip Jackson added 13.

Shawn Tyndell scored 14 for Rice, which expanded an early lead with a 14-0 run sparked by back-to-back 3-pointers from Wilks.

Rice went ahead by 29 points three times during the second half.

The Owls led 49-23 at halftime.
