SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Lumberjacks dug themselves a hole in the first half from which they could not recover as Centenary snapped the 'Jacks three-game win streak with a 62-51 win at the Gold Dome Wednesday night.

Neither team was sharp in the first half with both teams shooting below 40% from the field, but Centenary did manage to warm up a little in the final four minutes of the first half to break open a close game and build an 11-point lead which they carried to the half, 29-18. The Gents used 12 first half turnovers by the 'Jacks to fuel a 14-5 run over the final four minutes of the half to expand the lead.

SFA came out in the second half and trimmed the lead to six at the 11:07 mark, but then went cold, not scoring a point for almost four minutes. During that span, Centenary rebuilt their lead back up to as many as 14 points.

F Percy Green was the only bright spot of the 'Jacks as the Oklahoma City junior recorded his second straight double-double with his 18-point, 11-rebound effort. G Ben Hunt added 11-points, all in the second half and G Skip Jackson also added 10-points.

SFA returns to action Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. when they host Texas Southern.
