THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Percy Green had 20 points and a game-high 10 rebounds and Stephen F. Austin used a 20-6 burst midway through the second half en route to a 72-59 victory over Nicholls State in a Southland Conference game Wednesday night.

SFA (6-3 overall, 3-0 Southland) survived 24 turnovers in beating Nicholls (1-7, 0-2) for the fourth straight time at home.

SFA led 35-34 at halftime, then used the surge during six minutes of the second half to move into a 65-51 lead that was never threatened. The Lumberjacks also enjoyed a 49-28 rebounding advantage and outshot Nicholls by 24-13 from the foul line.

Green was the only player in double figures for SFA.

Earnest Porter with 21 points and Damien Lennon with 10 led the Colonels.
