LAST GAME: SFA fell to 0-2 in conference play and lost its third straight game with a 75-73 setback at Southeastern Louisiana. THE CARDINALS: Lamar enters Thursday's game at 8-7 for the season and in fifth place in the Southland Conference standings with a 1-1 league mark. The Cardinals are coming off an 83-58 win at Texas State.

Including a nine-year stint as head coach at Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Kaspar is 302-121 (.714) over his 14-year coaching career. Kaspar has guided the Lumberjacks to an 83-69 (.546) mark during his tenure. Lamar head coach Billy Tubbs is in his 31st year of coaching and his third in a second tour of duty with the Cardinals.
