NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack basketball team had a successful tally in the Hoops for Scholars game. SFA raised $11,269 in the event.

The game, which is sponsored by the SFASU Foundation and the SFA basketball program, raises money for National Merit Scholars. Supporters pledged a certain dollar amount for each Lumberjack field goal. The Lumberjacks made 19 field goals in the game. The 'Jacks increased the Hoops for Scholars endowment to almost $200,000.
