Kaspar Adds Two New Staff Members
Aug. 27, 2003 NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack basketball head coach Danny Kaspar has announced the hiring of Darren Kohne as an assistant coach and Jaime Boswell as an administrative assistant for the team in 2003-04. Kohne comes to SFA from High Point University in High Point, North Carolina where he served as an assistant for one year. Prior to his stay at High Point, Kohne worked for two seasons as an administrative assistant at Bowling Green for two years. The Toledo, Ohio native has also been a successful head coach and assistant at the high school and AAU level after playing one season at Benedictine University and helping the Eagles to an NIIC title and an NCAA Division III Tournament berth. A 2000 graduate of Toledo, Kohne will assist in all phases of coaching with the Lumberjacks in 2003-04. Kaspar also announced the addition of Jaime Boswell as an administrative assistant. Boswell joins the Lumberjack program having spent the past 13 years coaching in Texas high schools. The 1990 graduate of Southwest Texas has been a head coach for the past seven years and most recently was the head basketball coach and assistant football coach at Sinton ISD. He helped lead Sinton to a runner-up finish in district 30-3A and claimed the bi-district title. He was also named the District Coach of the Year. He led his teams to playoff appearances each year as a head coach. Boswell has also been a head coach at Comanche, Mathis and Granger High Schools. He will assist the Lumberjack coaching staff with administrative duties and travel arrangements for the coming year. |
