NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack basketball team announced Thursday a late adjustment to the 2009-10 schedule. The 'Jacks have dropped one of their home non-Division I opponents and added a pair of Division I games in a tournament at St. Mary's in California.

SFA was originally scheduled to host Wiley College on Dec. 30. That game has been scrubbed in place of two contests in the St. Mary's Shamrock Office Solutions Classic. The Lumberjacks will take on Howard and Binghamton in the Classic. SFA is scheduled to meet Howard on Dec. 29 then take on Binghamton on Dec. 30. Both games are slated to tip off at 5 p.m. (PST).

Howard is coming off an 8-23 campaign in 2008-09. The Bison finished ninth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with a 6-10 record. All eight of Howard's wins came in home contests.

Binghamton posted a 23-9 record last season, earning the school's first-ever bid to the NCAA Championships. Along the way, the Bearcats won both the regular-season and tournament titles in the America East Conference.

The Lumberjacks will begin the 2009-10 season on Monday, Nov. 9, when they host Northwestern Oklahoma State in their lone exhibition game of the year. SFA will play its regular-season opener on the road against Minnesota on Nov. 16.
