NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack and Ladyjack basketball teams tipoff the 2001-02 season this week with three exhibition basketball games. All games will be free to the public.

The Ladyjacks will kick things off Tuesday against the Houston Jaguars. The basketball game is slated to begin at 7 p.m., from the William R. Johnson Coliseum. The Lumberjacks take the court Wednesday for a 7 p.m., tipoff against Athletes First. The Lumberjacks return to the court Sunday to take on Team Ezybonds, a touring team from Australi. The game is slated begin at 4 p.m., from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.

The Lumberjacks tipoff the 2001-02 regular season Saturday Nov. 17, at Arizona State. The game is scheduled to get underway at 12:30 p.m. The Ladyjacks will be in Miami, Fla., to take on Florida International in the opening round of the Women's Preseason National Invitational Tournament. The Ladyjacks game is slated to begin at 7 (6 p.m. Texas time) p.m.
