Newcomers to the squad include transfers Gerald Fonzie, Chaz Dykes, Todd Henry, Antuane Miller and Keith Hardaway; true freshmen Josh Alexander, DeAndre Mays and Jerel Hastings; redshirt freshman Matt Kingsley and sophomore Will Johnson.
Texas A&M-Commerce is coming off a 28-5 finish last season. The Lions, who compete in the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference, went 10-2 to win the south division. A&M-Commerce returns two starters from last year's squad.
The Lumberjacks will open the regular season on Nov. 19, when they travel to Tulsa, Okla. for a 4 p.m. game against the University of Tulsa.
