SFA Looks to Get Back in the Win Column Against Nicholls Saturday

The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team (6-2/3-1 SLC) will look to put a dissapointing 28-7 setback at Texas State behind them as they return home Saturday to host Nicholls. The Colonels enter the game 1-7 (.125) on the season and 0-4 in Southland Conference play. Nicholls has dropped six consecutive games since defeating Duquesne, 14-7. The Colonels are coming off a 38-17 setback against #13 McNeese State. Saturday's game is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium. The Lumberjacks lead the all-time series against Nicholls, 18-7 (.720), and have won three of the last four meetings between the two schools. The 'Jacks are 10-3 (.769) all-time against the Colonels in Nacogdoches, and had a 10-game home win streak snapped against Nicholls during the 2007 season. SFA Football Falls to 15th in TSN Poll

The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team dropped to 15th in the Sports Network FCS Top 25 poll after a 28-7 setback at Texas State. SFA also fell three spots to 18th in the FCS Coaches' Poll. The Lumberjacks remain in the top-25 poll for the fourth consecutive week.MORE[+]

Bobcats End SFA Win Streak

The 11th-ranked Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks' win streak came to an end Saturday with a 28-7 setback at Texas State. The loss, which is SFA's first conference loss of the season, ended a six-game win streak which dated back to Sept. 12th. The Lumberjacks are now 6-2 on the season and 3-1 in Southland Conference , while the Bobcats are 5-3 and 3-1 in league play.MORE[+]
