Mark Bradley Added To Football Coaching Staff

July 17, 2001

Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack head football coach Mike Santiago announced today the hiring of Mark Bradley as an assistant football coach for the team. Bradley will coach running backs for the `Jacks in 2001.

"I am very pleased to be able to add someone like Mark Bradley to the staff at this late date. Coach Bradley brings with him the wealth of 32 years of experience of coaching and will be a tremendous addition to the staff. Not only is he a great coach, but he is also one of the top recruiters in the nation," said Santiago.

Bradley comes to SFA after spending the past nine seasons as the tight ends coach at the University of Tennessee. During his tenure at Tennessee, the Volunteers claimed a national championship following the 1998 season.

During his career as a collegiate assistant, Bradley has also made stops at Vanderbilt University, the University of Cincinnati and Rice University. Bradley also coached in the high school ranks in his native Alabama prior to moving into college coaching.

The `Jacks open fall camp when freshmen report August 7. SFA opens the season on September 1, playing host to Portland State.
