SFA's Harwell to Compete in THSCA All-Star Game

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin incoming freshman Hunter Harwell has been named to the 2013 Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) All-Star Game, which will be played Tuesday, July 30th in Forth Worth, Texas. The Mesquite native, will be wearing No. 30 for the North all-stars. Harwell is one of only seven players in the game headed to Southland schools.
Harwell was one of four linebackers who signed with SFA on National Signing Day as part of a 23-player incoming class. A highly sought after prospect from Mesquite Horn High School, Rivals had Harwell listed as a two-star player. He averaged better than seven tackles per game as a senior, and finished the season with 91 total tackles, including 58 solos stops. An Academic All-State selection, Harwell chose SFA over Air Force and Northern Illinois.
The 2013 THSCA All-Star game is slated to kick off at 7 p.m. from Amon Carter Stadium on the TCU campus.
