NACOGDOCHES - Fans of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team can get their first look at the 2008 version of the 'Jacks Thursday, Aug. 21, when SFA hosts its annual `Meet the 'Jacks.' The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Baker Pattillo Student Center.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from any member of the Fredonia Rotary. The ticket includes a barbecue meal, and fans can get autographs of the players and coaches following the event. The evening will be highlighted by the introduction of the 2008 Lumberjack coaches and players.

Among the 'Jacks' returnees are 2008 Preseason Second-Team All-Southland Conference selections Tim Knicky and Jabara Williams. The Lumberjacks open the 2008 season Saturday, Aug. 30, when they host Langston. The game against the Lions is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium.
