Aug. 8, 2006 NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team added two NCAA Division I-A transfers to its roster Tuesday morning announced head coach Robert McFarland. Junior defensive back Corey Campbell (Tennessee) and defensive end Daimyeon Hoskin (Central Michigan) are the latest Lumberjacks. Campbell was a 2003 All-SEC Freshman selection playing in eight games and earning three starts with the Vols. As a rookie, he recorded 35 tackles and picked off two passes. During his two seasons with Tennessee Campbell played in 21 games, earning eight starts. He recorded 56 total tackles and six interceptions. Campbell will strengthen an already veteran-laden Lumberjack secondary. Hoskin is an Irving, Texas product who comes to Nacogdoches after utilizing his redshirt season at Central Michigan in 2005. As a prepster, Hoskin guided MacArthur to a 10-1 record as a senior earning all-district honors. He rushed for more than 500 yards and scored eight touchdowns offensively and recorded three sacks on the defensive end. The Lumberjacks held their final of five acclimation practices Tuesday morning. SFA will hit the practice field Wednesday morning in full pads.
