    NACOGDOCHES - Stephen F. Austin Athletics Director Robert Hill announced the promotion of Matt Fenley, Rob Meyers and James Dixon within the SFA athletics department Wednesday afternoon. Fenley was named associate athletics director for compliance and student services. Meyers was promoted to assistant athletics director for business affairs, while Dixon was named sports information director.

    "I am very pleased to announce the promotion of the three individuals within the athletics department," said Hill. "They have proven to me that they are devoted to this university and committed to making SFA successful across the board."

    Fenley has spent the previous 15 seasons as the assistant AD for compliance, during which time he has handled all areas of compliance and financial aid for the athletics department. Fenley's role has been expanded to encompass athlete housing and academic needs as well. Fenley is also a familiar voice on Lumberjack football broadcasts serving as color commentary for the past 13 years.

    Meyers is entering his ninth season at SFA. Meyers has been in charge of media relations for the school's 16 varsity sports. In addition to his role as assistant AD, Meyers will also take on the radio play-by-play responsibilities for SFA football and men's basketball teams.

    Dixon has assisted Meyers in the sports information office for the past four seasons. During that time, Dixon handled the media relation's efforts for the Ladyjacks. Dixon also has spent the past three seasons as the radio play-by-play for Ladyjack basketball.
