    NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team will kick-off the 2005 season Tuesday Aug. 23, with the annual `Meet the Jacks,' which will begin at 6 p.m., in the University Center's Grand Ballroom.

    Fans will have the opportunity to meet the SFA coaching staff and players as they prepare to open the season Thursday Sept. 1 against Henderson State in Homer Bryce Stadium. A barbecue dinner will be served and fans will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction.

    Tickets for the event are $10 and can be purchased from any Fredonia Rotary Club member or by calling Gary Russell at (936) 560-4681.
