SFA VS THE LIONS: The Lumberjacks are 9-6-1 (.594) all-time against Southeastern Louisiana. SFA is 4-2 against the Lions under head coach J.C. Harper. The 'Jacks return to Hammond, La., looking to rebound from a 42-27 loss at SELU in 2012.

NUMBER ONE IN THE NATION: The Stephen F. Austin football team possess the most prolific FCS offense in the country. SFA currently ranks atop the nation in passing offense, while also sitting second in total offense and ninth in scoring offense.
SFA IN SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE OPENERS: The Lumberjacks are 16-10 (.615) all-time in Southland Conference opening games. SFA defeated No. 14 Central Arkansas 42-37 to open league play last season. The 'Jacks have won four of their last five conference openers. J.C. Harper is 4-2 (.667) in conference-opening games.
RECORDS FALL IN LOSS TO PRAIRIE VIEW A&M: Stephen F. Austin racked up 827 yards against Prairie View A&M to break its own Southland Conference record of 751 set by Nicholls in last year’s win over Evangel. Lumberjack QB Brady Attaway passed for a league-record 662 yards, which ranks second all-time in FCS history. Attaway’s record for passing yards in a game topped the previous conference record set by former Louisiana-Monroe quarterback Doug Pederson, who threw for 619 yards against SFA in 1989, and the school recod of 571 set by Todd Hammel against ULM in 1989. SFA receiver Aaron Thomas finished with 242 receiving yards, just five yards away from another conference record. His total broke the SFA record of 218 set by Ronnie Hawthorne against Texas State in 1969 and tied him for the second best game in Southland history with Sam Houston State’s Jonathan Cooper who also had 242 in a 2001 game against Western Illinois.
ATTAWAY CLIMBING THE CHARTS: SFA senior quarterback Brady Attaway continues to move up in the conference record book. He now has 1,372 passing attempts and ranks second on the SLC career list behind 2010 Walter Payton Award winner and former Lumberjack Jeremy Moses. Moses finished his career with 1,893 passes. Attaway also ranks third on the league's all-time completion list, recently moving past former Texas State quarterback Bradley George against Montana State and then adding 44 completions against Prairie View A&M to give him 816 for his career. he trails former Central Arkansas quarterback Nathan Brown (856) by 40. The Whitehouse, Texas, native, also ranks fourth on the SLC's list of career passing yards (9,082) and passing touchdowns (69).
50-50-50 CLUB: With 56 points scored on Saturday, the 'Jacks their third consecutive game with 50-plus points for the first time in program history.
WINNING RECORD: The ’Jacks are 30-17 (.638) over the course of the past four seasons. Despite not recording a winning record in 2012, the first time in the past four seasons, SFA was able to keep its streak of conference winning seasons alive. The ’Jacks posted a 4-3 mark in Southland Conference play which marks the fourth consecutive season SFA has recorded above a .500 record in league games. It marks the longest stretch of conference winning seasons in program history. The ’Jacks recorded a stretch of non-losing seasons from 1993-97, but that included a 3-3 SLC record in 1996.
