NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team locked up a share of the Southland Conference Championship with their 19-10 victory at Northwestern State. The 'Jacks (9-2/6-1 SLC) will be hosting an NCAA FCS Playoff selection watch party at the Baker Pattillo Student Center Theater Sunday at 2 p.m. The selection show will be broadcast on ESPNews.

The Lumberjacks won a share of their first Southland Conference title since the 1999 season, and only their third SLC title in school history. SFA, the league's automatic qualifier, defeated rival Northwestern State Saturday in Natchitoches to reclaim Chief Caddo and advance to their first postseason berth since the 1995 season. The Lumberjacks enter the 2009 NCAA FCS Playoffs riding a three-game win streak.
