    Stephen F. Austin State University is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs.

    POSITION: Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs

    STARTING DATE: January 5, 2004

    JOB DESCRIPTION: Directs day-to-day operations of the department's annual giving Varisty Club; plans and organizes fund-raising events; develops and implements strategies for identification; cultivation and solicitation of prospective donors and corporate partners; promotes attendance and organzies promotions for department events/competitions.

    PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS OR SPECIAL SKILLS: Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred, and one to three years experience in athletics administration and/or fund raising. Should have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and good computer skills.

    SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications.
