    Hoelscher, Winters Earn Academic All-SLC Honors
    Pair of SFA linemen earn academic honors for second straight season.

    PLANO, Texas -- Lumberjack defensive lineman Kenneth Winters and offensive lineman Matt Hoelscher have been named to the 2004 Hibernia Bank/Southland Conference Academic All-Conference team in a vote of conference academic administrators, head coaches and sports information directors. Both Winters and Hoelscher were also academic all-conference selections in 2003.

    The all-academic teams honor student-athletes who were selected all-conference and/or named as a national all-academic recipient this year while also earning at least a 3.00 grade point average. Remaining spots on the all-academic teams are then voted on by the head coaches, sports information directors and academic/compliance administrators. Student-athletes must have completed one full academic year at the nominating institution and participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position in which they are nominated.
