SFA 10th at UTSA Oak Hills Invitational

KERRVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team shot an opening day 300-297 597, and is currently 10th heading into the final day of competition at the Oak Hills Country Club. The `Jacks are only three strokes back of Texas State heading into Tuesday's competition.
SFA is being led by freshman Mitchell McLeroy who shot a four-over par 146, and is currently tied for 12th. Junior Kyle Robbins is only three strokes off McLeroy's pace, after following an opening-round 73 with a second-round 76. Robbins is currently tied for 33rd overall.
Sophomore Stetson McMillan battled back from an opening-round 78, to post a two-over 73 in the second round. McMillan enters Tuesday's action tied for 42nd overall, with teammate Richard Wilkenfeld (76-75 - 151). Junior Michael Smith struggled in both rounds finishing tied for 76th overall (82-79 - 161).
The `Jacks return to the course for the final round of action Tuesday beginning at 7:48 a.m. at the Oak Hills Country Club.
