'Jacks In Eighth Place After Day One Of Moe O'Brien Classic

The Lumberjack golf team shot rounds of 299-305 Monday on day one of the Moe O'Brien Golf Classic, held at Lakr Charles Country Club in Lake Charles, La. The host team, McNeese State held the day one lead afer rounds of 282-305. SFA enters the final 18-holes of play just three strokes out of sixth place. Trevor Sauntry shot rounds of 70-76 and is in eighth place individually, five strokes out of second place, but nine stokes behind day one leader Tim Kunick of UL-Monroe. Brian Grossman opened with trounds of 76-75, and stands in 29th entering Tuesday's round. Monday's 36 holes were played in cool, damp conditions with rain throughout the day.
