Jason Alexander shot an opening reound 74 to pace the Lumberjacks as the team shot a collective 303 in the opening round of the Moe O'Brien Memorial Golf Tournament at Lake Charles Country Club. Oklahoma City University leads the event after day one and a first round total of 287.

Alexander, a senior from Bellville, shot a 74 and stands in 19th place heading into today's 18-hole final round. Warren sophomore J.P. Landry shot a 75 and is one stroke back in 20th place.

Rounding out the field for the 'Jacks were:

Robert Kuban 84

The tournament concludes Tuesday with 18 holes of play.
