The Lumberjack golf team moved up three spots in the final standings Tuesday, the final day of play at the Moe O'Brien Invitational, to finish in eighth place. Only twelve strokes separated third place from eighth place in the event. Lamar University claimed the team title with a three round total of 863.

SFA shot a 310 Tuesday with Trey Schroeder and Tim Speichert leading the way for the 'Jacks. Shcroeder claimed a top ten finish after shooting a 77 in the final round and ended the tournament at 73-73-77 -- 223. Tim Peichert shot a 76 Tuesday and posted a top 25 finish with a three round total of 78-73-76 -- 227.

The 'Jacks return to action March 26 at the UALR Copy Systems Intercollegiate, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
